Since 2010

Our History

(Pre-Planting) In 2007 Matt and Beth Chewning had an unlikely vision to reach Greater Boston with the gospel. Having attended college in Boston and growing up in the Northeast, they had a deep passion to plant a gospel centered church that is authentic and relevant to todays culture.

2010 ................

In 2010, Matt left the financial security of a successful career in corporate America to move with his family to the North Shore of Boston and begin planting Netcast Church. With the intentions of meeting and loving their neighbors; Matt, Beth and their 4 children had a ‘vision night’ on 10/10/2010 and were shocked when 30 people showed up. A month later they had a similar event and 40 people came. They eventually launched Netcast Church on January 23, 2011 at a local YMCA.

Within the first year, Netcast Church outgrew their YMCA facility and moved to a local middle school in Beverly, MA that seats about 600 people comfortably. Today, Netcast has become one of the fastest growing church plants in New England.

Present ................

In addition to their numerical growth, Netcast has a large emphasis on local church planting, generosity and missions. Since Netcast was launched in 2011, we have given away over 25% of our budget to missions efforts within the Kingdom of God and have a vision of planting 40 churches in Greater Boston within the next 40 years.
